Information You Enter
When you enter a name, phone number, or address in a search form, that request is sent to the outside provider that supplies the result. Brighton Residents Directory does not keep a copy of the search. If you contact us, we receive the details in your message and use them to respond.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
The hosting service keeps routine server logs such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time stamps. We review those details in aggregate to maintain the service and understand which Brighton reference pages are useful. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How We Use Information
We use the limited information described above to operate Brighton Residents Directory, fix technical problems, measure traffic, and improve its pages. We do not sell visitor lists or build profiles of individual users.
Links Beyond Brighton Residents Directory
Pages may link to Adams County and Brighton records portals, Colorado services, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. The privacy policy of the destination controls anything submitted there. Sponsored results are supplied by a separate company and follow that company’s practices.
Who May Receive Information
Hosting and support providers may process the technical logs needed to run the site. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires it, and not for other purposes.
Security and Retention
The connection is encrypted, and logs are retained only for as long as the purposes above require. Because Brighton Residents Directory has no accounts, it does not hold a password or user profile for you on this site.
Visitors Under 18
Brighton Residents Directory is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor may have sent information to us, contact us and we will delete what we locate.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on the law and its scope, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain portability for personal data a website keeps about you. Colorado’s Colorado Privacy Act, SB21-190, effective July 1, 2023, provides those rights and certain opt-outs for covered processing; sensitive data requires consent. Because we retain very little, a request usually means checking our contact mailbox and server logs and removing what is found. Use the Contact page to ask.
Public records held by Colorado, Adams County, or Brighton offices are outside our control. The Colorado Open Records Act (CORA), C.R.S. 24-72-200.1 through 24-72-205, directs public-record requests to the appropriate custodian; it does not make this private reference the custodian or provide a way for us to remove those records.
Policy Changes
When this policy changes, the revised text will appear here. Continued use of Brighton Residents Directory after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
